Try Scuba Diving in Bangalore
Try scuba in Bangalore, at an easy pace.
Try Scuba Diving in Bangalore is a pool session for anyone who wants to see what scuba feels like before signing up for a course or planning a dive holiday. You do not need any previous experience. We begin on dry land, take things one step at a time and spend time in the water only when you are ready.
Overview
Is this course
right for you?
This is a good fit if you have always been curious about diving, feel a little unsure about breathing underwater, or want some pool time before a diving holiday. It is also a sensible first step if you are considering a certification course but do not want to commit before trying scuba.
Most people are comfortable with the idea of swimming, but breathing through a regulator can feel strange for the first few minutes. That is completely normal. We explain the equipment properly before getting in, and you will have time to get used to each piece without anyone rushing you.
In the shallow end, we start with a few simple skills. You will practise breathing from the regulator, clearing a little water from your mask and finding your regulator again if it comes out of your mouth. These are basic skills, but they make a big difference to how relaxed you feel underwater.
Once you are comfortable, you can spend time moving around underwater in the pool with your instructor nearby. You will not see marine life in a pool, but you will get a real sense of what it is like to breathe underwater and float without having to hold yourself up. At the end, we can talk through whether a Scuba Diver or Open Water course makes sense for you.
Your session
How it
unfolds.
A straightforward route from your first question to your first supervised time underwater.
- We start with a short briefing. You will learn how the regulator, mask, buoyancy jacket and fins work, along with the basic rules that keep the session safe.
- You will put the equipment on with help from your instructor and get used to it before entering the pool.
- In shallow water, we practise breathing from the regulator and a few simple skills until you feel ready to go a little deeper.
- You then spend supervised time underwater in the pool. After the session, we will answer your questions and explain the options if you want to continue.

Questions answered
Still deciding?
Do I need to know how to swim?
No. You do not need a swimming certificate for this session. You should be comfortable getting into a pool and able to stay calm while following your instructor’s directions.
Will I dive in the ocean or see fish?
No. This is a pool session. The purpose is to get comfortable with the equipment and breathing underwater before adding waves, depth and marine life to the experience.
What if I feel nervous underwater?
That is very common. We begin in shallow water and move slowly. You can pause at any time, ask questions or stop the session if you do not feel comfortable.
Does this make me a certified diver?
No. Try Scuba is a first experience, not a certification. To become certified, you need to complete a Scuba Diver or Open Water course and the required open-water dives.
What should I bring?
Please bring swimwear and a towel. We provide the scuba equipment and will send you the pool details before the session.
Can I do this before a diving holiday?
Yes. It is a useful way to get familiar with breathing underwater before you travel. If your trip needs a certification, plan enough time to complete the relevant course and ocean dives before you go.
